You need a passport. No, I mean you really need a passport. If you are serious in breaking free from the great con job that has sold you down the river in the great US of A, the first thing you need to do is get your traveling papers. Go to the post office and request the application you will need. Get it going, now. With that passport in hand, you are about to embark on the great adventure that waits just beyond our sanitized borders.
If you have the slightest inkling that all is not well in your MacLife, there might be hope for you. Go, see the world not seen from resorts or tourist enclaves. When you go, you will find you had little to loose and everything to gain. I will not bother to make arguments for the cause. If you cannot feel in your gut that there must be more to your time on this planet than suburban debt, strip malls, and a 401K, there might not be hope for you. But let me ask you…how has life treated your dreams? Have you ever imagined a far tropical shore, slower life, time to reflect, time to do good, time to enjoy simple pleasures, or the company of a lovely old fashioned maiden? Life could be good again. Find and seek the counsel of men who have already done just that. Most of us are quite generous with encouragement for those who would dare take the plunge. Be warned, as once you have crossed over to this new world, it is difficult to find contentment in ever coming back to the big box world you once knew as home.
